Dan Klunk
President & Chief Development Officer

My "Why" - To fulfill dreams and help people reach their potential so that we can make a positive impact in the world.

With several incredibly successful years of experience as a Financial Advisor at UBS prior to his current role, Dan has developed a network of successful business owners and strategic partners with whom he has long and vested relationships. Dan's value proposition is that is is able to foresee blind spots and can effectively design ongoing financial plans for his owners and affiliated business partners. His core functionality was to develop, implement the plans and manage the team’s execution.  Now, Dan develops and implements the growth plans for our company and is responsible for expanding the footprint of uncommon hotels that will be owned, designed and managed by Untitled.

Prior to joining UBS, Dan spent much of his career and has extensive background in real estate, hospitality and community relations. He spent eight years managing local San Diego country clubs and nine years managing a number of upper-upscale hotels in Southern California.

Outside of work, Dan is involved in a number of philanthropic organizations. For the past six years, he has served as board member and investment committee member for the Ronald McDonald House of San Diego. In addition, he is an active committee member of Rady Children's Hospital, San Diego County Medical Society Foundation, Kiwanis Club, Maria R. Alvarez Sr. Cancer Foundation, Camp Able, Art San Diego and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Hopi Stradling
Vice President, Operations

My "Why" - To inspire others to provide service and hospitality because neither is mutually exclusive to the pursuit of happiness.

Hopi is a hospitality industry veteran having worked for large companies, and as a successful brand-builder and entrepreneur.  He has led front of the house teams at Relais & Chateaux properties in New England, eventually moving into the position of Wine Director and Restaurant General Manager.  In 2000, Hopi became partner of a full service off- site catering and retail pre-packaged food store, where he managed, planned, sold and executed intimate dinner parties to large weddings in excess of five hundred guests.

In 2002, Hopi conceived and built New Hampshire’s first and only private dining, social and business club.  As Managing partner, the club flourished and he grew and developed reciprocal property arrangements with three hundred and fifty private clubs in the U.S. and internationally; resulting in acceptance by the Club Corporation of America as one of the only privately owned and operated clubs within their network.   In 2013 Hopi successfully sold the private dining club, went back to school and received a Master Certificate in Hospitality Management from Cornell University.  Upon completion, he became Hotel Manager at Sheraton Portsmouth and eventually Vice President of Food and Beverage for Key Hospitality Group.

Hopi graduated Cum Laude in English and Film Studies from The University of Vermont and University of Kent in Canterbury, England.
